Did God Really Create the World in 7 Literal Days?

The Bible writes that for every day of creation there was “evening and morning” for each literal day:

Genesis 1:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The same goes for the 2nd day, there was “evening and the morning”:

Genesis 1:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

There was “evening and morning” for the “third day” too:

Genesis 1:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

The “evening and the morning” was the fourth day too:

Genesis 1:19 King James Version (KJV)
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

The same was for the “fifth day”:

Genesis 1:23 King James Version (KJV)
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

The evening and the morning were also “the sixth day”, on which God beheld everything he made, that it was “very good”:

Genesis 1:31 King James Version (KJV)
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The “seventh day” of the week was the last day of the week, where God rested on it and did no work on it, and “blessed” and “sanctified it”:

Genesis 2:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
